I am Kevin Christian Mak, a Software Engineer with two years of experience in IT, and a certification from QuickStart Front-End Development Bootcamp as I transition from an IT-focused role into a Front-End Developer position.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from Florida Gulf Coast University. After graduating, I relocated to Austin, Texas, to begin my career with General Motors IT as a Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer. In this role, I gained hands-on experience working within large-scale corporate environments, collaborating closely with end users and fellow engineers, and consistently meeting project deadlines.

In 2024, I was affected by a company-wide layoff due to overstaffing. Since then, I have remained committed to professional growth by continuing to study and work with modern front-end technologies.

I am deeply passionate about building user-focused applications and websites, which makes transitioning into front-end development a natural progression. I am currently pursuing a front-end development career.
